The Peaks

On Sunday we headed with Donna and Dad to the Peaks of Otter. I love this place, well truly if it’s in the mountains I love it! It was 10 degrees cooler and just nice!
We had a great big picnic; Donna knows how to feed a crowd. Dad stayed up late making this yummy fried chicken.

Fun was had until the last drop!

Ofcourse we are going to eat watermelon, it is summer!

There was quite a crowd of gnats so Will kept the smoke blowing and that kept them at bay.

To end the day, a sleepover with Tangled … after I took this picture Layla sat up and put her hand out and said… please enough pictures haha!

July 4th!

Can Someone point me in the direction as to where July went! I can't seem to find him anymore? To think July vanished is just preposterous right? I really feel like it was just May. Oy one day closer to vacation, but I do wish time would slow, like the button on your dvd player that makes the movie go in slow motion. That would be nice wouldn't it?
With that said, lets start our recap from the top...
To celebrate our nation’s independence we headed to Virginia to visit everyone. We hung out at the pool a lot and that was nice.

And sadly… they are no more. Oh well that's what the farm station is for, and it gave our squash and cucumbers more room. That never hurts!


As always, Layla is a great helper!



She’s the only person I know that wants to keep her Sunday dress on all day  girly girl! Somehow managed not to get a speck of dirt on the dress too!

Fathers Day

Layla couldn’t ask for a better daddy! This Fathers day we celebrated with lunch and my dad got to come down too!

That is the best dad I could ask for!

Swim Time

When it is this warm I can’t think of anywhere better to be than the pool! Layla is a fish in the water and can do a lot by herself now!

She isn’t even afraid to go under anymore!
