It's Mountain Time!

If you know me, you know that I adore the mountains. It is the place I will ultimately end up, with a lot of life in between of course. I find myself bargaining with Will on a weekly basis finding reason after reason why we need to move there as soon as possible. I love being close to nature, not being confined to a neighborhood with houses only a stones throw away. I love to wake up to cool mountain air and drink coffee on the porch, I LOVE hiking, walking, sitting, making fires, you name it. One day soon…

So off we went for a perfect weekend away, with really good friends. We found an awesome cabin in Tennessee that came with a boat, which really put the cherry on top! The cabin was beautiful and spacious and had many fireplaces!







Shen made the most delicious meal for dinner and we set up camp outside for the evening. It was so nice!



The next morning we were up bright and early, to be greeted by this view!



We had a great breakfast and headed off for Layla’s first hike! I am so proud of her, she hiked for almost a full 5 miles and didn’t stop one timeJ She loved every second of it and it is my goal in life that she always love it this much!





We soon made it to the beautiful waterfalls. We could have continued hiking all day, but there was a boat waiting at home with the promises of a first fishing trip for Layla!






She is saying, “I did it!”

We headed home and on the boat. This was Georgie’s first time on the water, and I must say, he did great!





The water was pretty chilly, so the fish were hiding at the bottom of the lake. Nonetheless Layla had a great time trying out her Princess fishing pole.











After a yummy dinner of Chili, made by Jenni we were all pretty worn out from our fun filled day. We were sad to go home the next day, but will make sure this happens again!
